HNTB Password Reset

For security purposes, HNTB passwords must be reset every 90 days. This page provides guidelines to HNTB employees and guests on the proper procedures to reset your password according to your classification and how you access the HNTB systems.

REQUIREMENTS

When choosing a new password, it must meet the following requirements: 
 

  1. Six characters (minimum)
  2. Must contain three of the following four character types:
    • Uppercase letters (i.e. ABCD)
    • Lowercase letters (i.e. abcd)
    • Numbers (i.e. 1234)
    • Non-alphanumeric special characters (i.e. !@#$)
  3. Must NOT contain:

    • Any part of your name
    • Any of your previous seven passwords


Once you change your password, you cannot change it for the next 5 days.


REGISTER

Before using the password reset tool the first time, you must register. If your password is already expired, before registration, please contact the HNTB Service Desk.

1. Navigate to the HNTB Password Reset Registration page
2. Log in with your HNTB email address.
NOTE: If you do not have an HNTB email address, enter your HNTB username, then “@hntb.com”
3. Follow the instructions on the screen to set up at least 2 verification methods
 

RESET YOUR PASSWORD


HNTB Employees
You have three options to reset your HNTB password:


Option 1: HNTB computer


1. Log onto the computer on the HNTB network.
2. Press CTRL-ALT-DEL.
3. Click Change Password.
4. Enter your old password and the new one to change your password. 

 

Option 2: Outlook web access


1. Log into http://owa.hntb.com in your web browser
2. Click Options in the upper right corner.
3. Click Change Your Password.
4. Enter your old password and the new one to change your password.

 

Option 3: Self-service password reset tool


1. If you have not registered, please follow the registration instructions above.
2. Navigate to the HNTB Self-Service Passwork Reset page.
3. Enter your HNTB e-mail address and the identification code, then click Next.
4. Complete two verification methods.
5. Once verified, choose a new password.


NON-HNTB Employees
You have one option to reset your HNTB password:

1. If you have not registered, please follow the instructions above.
2. Navigate to the HNTB Self-Service Password Reset page.
3. Enter your HNTB email address and the identification code, then click Next.
4. Complete two verification methods.
5. Once verified, choose a new password.
