Neesha Desai joins HNTB Corporation
Desai brings proven leadership and extensive infrastructure program management experience
NEW YORK (Feb. 6, 2018) – Neesha Desai, PE, joined HNTB Corporation as civil department manager and associate vice president, based in the firm’s Empire State Building offices in New York City. Desai is managing the delivery of complex, large-scale highway, bridge and rail infrastructure projects, including design-build programs throughout the New York region.
“Neesha brings an impressive record of accomplishments as a hands-on engineer, project manager and industry leader,” said Stephen Dilts, HNTB’s New York office leader and senior vice president. “Her ability to create and implement innovative solutions provides transportation agencies with a valuable resource to help deliver large-scale infrastructure projects.”
Desai brings more than 20 years of engineering design and project management experience for the reconstruction of highways, bridges and rail facilities in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and California, including design-build projects. She has worked with the New York State Department of Transportation, New York State Thruway Authority, Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, New Jersey Department of Transportation and the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, among others.
A graduate of the SV National Institute of Technology in India with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Desai also holds a master’s degree in engineering management from Drexel University. She is a professional engineer licensed in New York, New Jersey and Virginia, and a member the American Society of Highway Engineers, American Society of Civil Engineers and the Women’s Transportation Seminar.
