BOSTON (Feb. 29, 2024) – HNTB Corporation, a leading infrastructure solutions firm, has announced Paul Godfrey, PE, vice president, as its Massachusetts office leader. Godfrey has been with the firm for 35 years and most recently served as the Northern New England office leader since 2018.
“Paul has been instrumental in the firm’s success in the Northeast,” said Gary Bua, HNTB Northeast Division president. “From his early days working on tolls, traffic and planning projects, to leading award-winning projects for the firm’s longest standing client – the Maine Turnpike Authority – we are elated to have Paul continue his leadership as the Massachusetts office leader and build upon his tremendous achievements.”
Godfrey led professionals in the South Portland, Maine and Concord, New Hampshire offices, and has worked on several key projects for the firm, including the MTA’s Portland Area Widening project that was completed last year and recognized by industry outlets such as ACEC Maine and Roads & Bridges magazine.
Additionally, Godfrey led the Massachusetts Department of Transportation’s South Station Expansion project, an environmental permitting and preliminary design project that included coordination with the MBTA and Amtrak, as well as the Casey Arborway project in Jamaica Plain that created an improved multi-modal hub and addressed a structurally deficient bridge.
Godfrey is an active member of numerous professional societies including IBTTA, ASCE, ITE and WTS. He is also an author and university professor, with a long track record of recruiting engineers out of school to join the firm.
