Veteran TxDOT industry professional brings more than two decades of experience successfully managing and delivering major transportation programs
AUSTIN, Texas (April 24, 2024) – Marisabel Ramthun, PE has joined HNTB Corporation as business development leader with a focus on growing HNTB’s portfolio of transportation design 
projects and clients in Texas. Her extensive career includes more than two decades with the Texas Department of Transportation where she last served as director of the design division, overseeing statewide activities for transportation project development from conception to final completion.

In her new role, Ramthun will collaborate with teams throughout Texas and leverage firmwide resources to enhance the firm’s distinguished track record of client success while exploring avenues for expansion. Additionally, she will engage closely with clients to assess project needs and strategize to ensure project goals are met.
Ramthun earned a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Puerto Rico and is a registered professional engineer in Texas. She is also a graduate of the Women in Transportation Seminar International Signature Leadership Training and AASHTO Leadership Institute.
