Opportunity to learn about partnership opportunities on major Los Angeles infrastructure programs
LOS ANGELES (Feb. 2, 2023) – Stemming from its ongoing commitment to engaging with diverse and underutilized partners, HNTB’s downtown Los Angeles office is hosting a networking event for small, minority, disadvantaged and disadvantaged veteran enterprises on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2023, from 3–7 p.m.
This event builds on prior outreach, providing attendees opportunities to network and learn more about teaming possibilities on Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority projects, such as the Engineering and Support Maintenance Services contract. HNTB professionals will share insights about the firm’s engineering, planning and architecture projects along with other infrastructure opportunities in Los Angeles.
“HNTB is dedicated to strengthening our relationships with small, minority and hosting disadvantaged businesses – including disadvantaged veteran businesses – by regularly outreach events that can reinforce partnerships and identify synergies between the service needs of clients and the exceptional talent and expertise of our teaming partners,” said Yoga Chandran, PE, HNTB Los Angeles office leaders and senior vice president.
“Through assembling diverse teams and small business partners, we deliver better results for our clients. When our staff and firms reflect the communities in which we work, we are better equipped to understand what is truly important to those who live, work and play where we are implementing transportation improvements meant for their well-being,” said Art Hadnett, HNTB LA Metro client service leader and strategic growth officer.
Gwendolen Gray, HNTB vice president, added, “We recognize the tremendous value diverse businesses can bring to ensure equitable and successful transportation projects. Our firm’s priority is to partner with minority- and women-owned firms, and disadvantaged veteran businesses by sharing our wealth of expertise and wide network of connections to help these businesses access new opportunities.”
The event will be held at 777 S. Figueroa Street on the 9th floor, Los Angeles California. To RSVP for the HNTB-hosted networking event, visit https://forms.office.com/r/hDBDGArZLr
