Carey Wilson joins HNTB as senior project director in the Northwest Division

Veteran engineering leader brings more than 25 years of experience in the transit industry, including freight railroad client account management

DENVER (July 22, 2024) – Carey Wilson, PE, has joined HNTB as senior project director and vice president in Denver. In this role, Wilson provides leadership and innovative solutions to transportation clients, addressing critical infrastructure improvement needs. Wilson works closely with clients throughout Colorado, Utah, Washington and other Western states to develop and deliver the region’s largest and most complex transportation projects.

Wilson comes to HNTB with 25 years of progressive experience in planning, design and construction of highway and rail projects across North America. She has a diverse project history that encompasses various project delivery methods for numerous clients including public agencies, class I and short line railroads, and industrial rail. Her expertise includes leading tasks such as alternative analysis to support NEPA, design of multi-discipline projects, construction support, and coordination with stakeholders. In addition to Wilson’s experience leading transportation projects, much of her background involves key leadership roles focused on business development, staff development, project delivery, safety and financial management.

Wilson earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Nevada, Reno. She is a registered Professional Engineer in Colorado, California, Washington, Wyoming, Nevada, Wyoming and Louisiana.
