Recognizes the company’s commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion as well as Steve Granson, Regine Beauboeuf and Gwendolen Gray for their leadership to COMTO
HOUSTON (July 17, 2024) – HNTB Corporation was named “2024 Corporation of the Year” by the Conference of Minority Transportation Officials at its Industry Awards Gala held during the 2024 National Meeting and Training Conference in Houston, July 9-12.
The COMTO Industry Awards Gala is a significant event that recognizes outstanding contributions and achievements within the transportation industry. The organization honored HNTB’s dedication to excellence, innovation and its commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion within the industry.
“We were humbled to be named Corporation of the Year again, which is truly a testament to the commitment by our firm and especially our professionals for their collaboration, innovation and driving positive changes in the transportation industry,” said Diana Mendes, AICP, HNTB corporate president, Infrastructure & Mobility Equity.
Additionally, Steve Granson, HNTB project director, received the President and CEO Leadership Award for his efforts in helping plan and execute this year’s national meeting. Granson currently serves as president of the COMTO Houston chapter, which was local host for the national conference. Granson has been elected to serve on the 2024-2026 COMTO Board of Directors.
Former COMTO board member Regine Beauboeuf, HNTB Michigan director of equity programs, and Gwendolen Gray, HNTB program management and small business partnership, were both recognized with the Excellence in Service award for their service on COMTO’s national board. Gray has been re-elected to continue serving as second vice chair on the 2024-2026 Executive Committee of the Board of Directors.
COMTO’s ongoing activity in advocacy, information sharing, training, education and professional development includes supporting the growth and success of the small and disadvantaged consulting community.
