Veteran professional brings more than 25 years of experience managing design projects for state departments of transportation
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Dec. 6, 2024) – Dominick J. Romano, Jr., P.E., has joined HNTB as senior project manager supporting the firm’s alternative delivery, general engineering consultancy and program management disciplines. In this role, he will lead the management and administration of alternative delivery and public-private partnership projects, including supporting the Tennessee Department of Transportation with their Choice Lanes program. Romano is located in the firm’s Nashville office.

Romano’s experience includes managing complex, high-profile, multi-disciplined transportation projects using alternative delivery methods like design-build and public-private partnerships. With more than 25 years of highway design and program management experience, Romano’s expertise extends to managing budgets, project schedules, technical requirements, contractual obligations and communications in support of the client’s objectives.
In addition to his industry experience, Romano is committed to mentoring the next generation of engineers and fostering their professional growth. Through the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC), he has completed a comprehensive program on the business of design and how to build management expertise and leadership to help individuals in the engineering industry thrive.
Romano received a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Purdue University and is a licensed professional engineer in Tennessee, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Georgia and Florida.
