HNTB celebrates 75 years of shaping infrastructure in West Virginia

SCOTT DEPOT, W.V. (Feb. 6, 2025) – HNTB Corporation is proud to celebrate 75 years of supporting West Virginia’s transportation agencies and other public and private clients in delivering mobility solutions that foster economic growth and strengthen communities across the state. Since 1950, HNTB has served as the general engineering consultant for the West Virginia Turnpike (now West Virginia Parkways Authority), which led to the opening of the firm’s Scott Depot office.

Over the years, HNTB has played a pivotal role in shaping West Virginia’s most transformative transportation projects. By collaborating with the West Virginia Parkways Authority and the West Virginia Department of Transportation (Division of Highways), HNTB has successfully delivered critical infrastructure that fosters economic development and improves connectivity and safety across the state.

These include Blennerhassett Bridge, West Virginia Travel Plazas, Morgantown Industrial Park Access Road, I-77 Beckley Widening, Fairmont Gateway Connector, I-79 Bridge Rehabilitation Bundle and Coalfields Expressway. Professionals provide comprehensive planning, design and construction services to meet the evolving needs of clients and the communities they serve.
