Talented aviation architect brings a proven track record in design excellence
LOS ANGELES (Nov. 11, 2024) – HNTB, a leading infrastructure solutions firm, announced Jing Bao, AIA, has joined the firm’s architecture practice as senior project designer, specializing in aviation. Bao brings a wealth of experience in aviation architecture and design, complemented by her extensive expertise in computational design and project management.
In her new role, Bao will lead design efforts on high-profile aviation projects, including the upcoming terminal refresh at the Tom Bradley International Terminal in preparation for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.

Bao joins HNTB with nearly a decade of experience in architecture. She has led design teams on high-profile projects like the Raleigh-Durham International Airport Terminal Expansion, where she managed a team of 10 through concept design and programming to design development. Her portfolio includes achieving a top-five placement in an international competition for the redevelopment of Chicago O’Hare International Airport. Additionally, Bao applied her computational design skills to optimize and document complex geometries, including a 4,000+ unique-panel facade for the National Museum of Intelligence and Special Operations.
A licensed architect and a member of the American Institute of Architects, Bao holds a master of architecture from Washington University in St. Louis and a bachelor of science in architectural studies from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee.
