CHARLESTON, S.C. (Sept. 27, 2024) – HNTB’s Shannon Meder, South Carolina practice lead and vice president, has been selected as a 2024 Woman of Influence by the Charleston Regional Business Journal.
The award recognizes women who are trailblazers, visionaries and leaders making a significant impact on the region’s business landscape. Honorees are chosen for their exceptional leadership, business acumen, mentorship and community involvement.

Meder actively shapes the future of the infrastructure industry and her community by dedicating her time and talents to various organizations. She volunteers with Lowcountry Orphan Relief, Charleston Animal Society, and Lowcountry Labrador Rescue, and inspires students to pursue STEM careers through career days and school outreach. In the industry, she serves on the Board of Directors for the South Carolina chapters of the American Council of Engineering Companies and Women in Transportation Seminar and participates in the National Association of Environmental Professionals and the South Carolina Chapter of the American Planning Association.
